ProPharmace Support

To help support students we have delivered workshops at several Universities to allow students to practice and prepare for the assessments that they will be expected to complete during the Oriel process at selection centres.

As well as our support to Universities we have developed some FREE resources that provide useful guidance advice and tips on the three methods of assessment.

Our aim is to help provide you with key information to prepare you for these assessments, and give you a clear understanding of how the assessments will be run in order to build your confidence and ensure you have the best possible chance of performing well. The criteria that you will be assessed against at selection centres comes directly from the Person Specification and Pre-Registration Pharmacist Professional Attributes Framework. We will be referring to these documents where necessary and We highly recommend you read through these key documents very well, as these are the criteria you will be assessed against throughout the Oriel process. Below is timeline of key dates for the 2021 intake. Simply click below to add these dates to your calendar. It is important to keep track of these key dates to ensure you do not miss any.

The assessments are made up of three parts

1. Situational Judgement Test (SJT)

The SJT has been designed to examine you on four of the attributes from the Pre-Registration Pharmacist Professional Attributes Framework

2. Numeracy test

You will have to complete 10 basic pharmaceutical calculations.

3. Multiple Mini-Interview (MMI)

Before entering each station, you will have 3 minutes to prepare for the first exercise in the room, which is usually a scenario based question.
