The ProPharmace Online Tutor Training Programme comprising of 10 webinars, is mapped to the GPhC guidance on tutoring, and offers targeted modules in these areas. This RPS accredited programme aims to equip tutors with the knowledge, tools and resources to fulfil their role effectively.

The ProPharmace Online Tutor Training Programme, comprising of 10 webinars, is mapped to the GPhC guidance on tutoring, and offers targeted modules in these areas. This RPS accredited programme aims to equip tutors with the knowledge, tools and resources to fulfil their role effectively. The 10 webinars cover the following topics:

Webinar 2: Inducting your trainee and planning the year
Webinar 3: Coaching Your Trainee and Giving Feedback
Webinar 4: Monitoring Progress & Assessing Evidence
Webinar 5: Conducting formal progress review and formulating action plans
Webinar 6: Learning from others and creating learning opportunities
Webinar 7: Developing Clinical Decision Making and Problem Solving Skills
Webinar 8: Dealing with Difficulties and Trouble Shooting
Webinar 9: Entering your trainee for the registration assessment and preparing your trainee to practise as a pharmacist.
Webinar 10: Evaluation and reflecting on your performance as a tutor

Gaining the title of ProPhramce Certified tutor will go a long way to show a tutor’s commitment not only to improving their own performance as pre-registration tutors, but also to highlighting their ability to achieve and maintain high quality training provision.

What are the requirements for completing the programme?

Completing the programme includes:

  • Passing an online assessment
  • Submitting a reflection log
  • Completing an evaluation forms about the programme

How much time do I have to complete the programme?

You will have access to the programme content for 10 months from joining, however you will be prompted to complete the assessment components after 3 months.

How much does the programme cost?

The course costs £125 + VAT, however in-order to enhance the provision and practice of pre-registration training, ProPharmace are giving FREE access for a limited period(see terms and conditions). This comes in an effort to give tutors the opportunity to maintain high quality training provision.
