Pharmacy Training Programme Director

Job Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the ProPharmace Team as Pharmacy Training Programme Director. This role would be ideal for a Pharmacist who has experience in the development and delivery of training programmes, has the relevant skills, knowledge and experience of pharmacy education and training, has excellent leadership skills and is passionate about leading an innovative training programmes ensuring it remains current and evolves with the changing needs of pharmacy education, whilst retaining it’s seal of quality and high standards.

Key Responsibilities

This list is a summary of the main accountabilities of this role and is not exhaustive. The role holder may be required to undertake other reasonable duties from time to time in line with the role to take account of changing organisational needs.

  • Ensure that ProPharmace pharmacy training programmes remain relevant and current.
  • Oversee a team of Education & Training Pharmacists to deliver programmes to propharmace high quality standards
  • Manage training programmes development and delivery
  • Ensure programmes focus on the application of knowledge and skills in the workplace and clinical decision making
  • Take responsibility for the development and review of specific areas of teaching and learning and for the quality of teaching delivered
  • Work with the wider team to support the implementation of new training initiatives and digital learning solutions
  • Evaluate learner feedback
  • Promote ProPharmace training programme to stakeholders regionally and nationally
  • Attend regional and national stakeholder meetings

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC (UK)
  • Have a minimum of three years’ broad experience, preferably multi-sector, as a pharmacist in the UK
  • Have evidence of experience of work related to pharmacist education and training
  • Be familiar with the new GPhC Standards for the Initial Education Training of Pharmacists
  • Have a sound understanding of pharmacy practice and current NHS Policy
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident presentation and workshop delivery skills
  • Experience of developing training materials
  • Good IT skills including MS word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of working in a project team and delivering to deadlines

Salary

£50,000 – £60,000 dependant on experience

Hours

Full time: 9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday

Part time and flexible working applications will be considered.

Location:

Remote working from home, travel to training locations will be required.
