– Describe supervision and distinguish between the roles of a Practice Supervisor, Educational Supervisor and an Education Programme Director
– Describe the role and key attributes of a Practice Supervisor
– Understand the importance of acting as a professional role model
– Reflect on and identify personal strengths and weaknesses in relation to the GPhC Guidance on tutoring and supervising pharmacy professionals

Module 1:
The aim of this module is for the tPS to understand the role of the Practice Supervisor and how it fits in within the pharmacy education team, pharmacy department, primary care team or community pharmacy. The tPS will be able to identify the key skills required to be an effective practice supervisor and reflect on their own personal strengths and weaknesses and generate a personal development plan to develop these skills.
